Brad Pattison Pet Wellness Hip & Joint Care soft chews contain Glucosamine Hydrochloride (Glucosamine HCl) which is often used to alleviate discomfort and joint wear and tear caused by structural changes and may aid in the treatment of injury. Glucosamine is a natural cartilage building block that, as dogs age, is depleted by the body much faster than it can be produced. Canine joint supplements containing glucosamine may help replenish these depleting levels to provide relief from aches and pains. Glucosamine and chondroitin are commonly recommended by veterinarians as an alternative for treating canine joint conditions in pets who are unable to tolerate the adverse effects of NSAIDs, or as add-on therapy. Glucosamine Hydrochloride is a building block of the cartilage matrix and stimulates growth of cartilage cells. Glucosamine can be given safely to diabetic patients.
Brad Pattison Pet Wellness Hip & Joint Care soft chews contain Chondroitin Sulfate which works by inhibiting cartilage-destroying enzymes. Chondroitin requires a loading dose similar to glucosamine. When given with glucosamine, chondroitin may have a synergistic effect. Chondroitin sulfate is a chemical that is normally found in cartilage around joints in the body. Chondroitin sulfate is used for joint soreness in aging dogs, or young dogs, which can be slowly progressive and debilitating and may affect canines of all breeds. Pain and decreased mobility often have a negative impact on the affected canine’s quality of life, level of comfort, daily functioning, activity, behaviour and client-pet companionship. Chondroitin sulfate is the major glycosaminoglycan found in cartilage. It promotes water retention and elasticity in the cartilage, helping to ensure adequate shock absorption and adequate nourishment of the tissues that line the joint. Cartilage plays an important role, and when damaged, it won’t usually repair or duplicate itself on its own so the bones of the joint may rub against each other, causing pain and inflammation.
Brad Pattison Pet Wellness Hip & Joint Care soft chews contain MSM (methyl sulphonyl methane) which is a natural way to relieve joint pain, reduce inflammation and may boost immunity. MSM plays a major part in the body's ability to produce collagen. As an essential ingredient in tissue to hold the body together, collagen provides structural support and impacts the flexibility and resilience of skin.

Brad Pattison Pet Wellness Hip & Joint Care soft chews contain Certified Organic hemp oil and flour which are exceptionally rich in two essential fatty acids with a near perfect 3:1 ratio of alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) and linoleic acid (omega-6). Hemp oil is an all-natural dietary supplement. Hemp oil supports healthy looking skin and soft, shiny coats. "Certified Organic" status of the hemp oil and flour ingredients ensure they are free from harmful chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals, toxins, and other contaminants. Hemp is a plant that absorbs toxins from the ground and it is important to ensure that hemp ingredients are always "CERTIFIED Organic" not just "organic" as there are no regulations on these hemp ingredients. Brad Pattison Pet Wellness always uses Certified Organic hemp in all products.

Brad Pattison Pet Wellness Hip & Joint Care soft chews contain Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid)The most important and best-known characteristic of hyaluronic acid is its ability to bind water. However, it is also capable of much more. It is one of the two main components of joint fluid, with physical properties similar to rubber. The viscosity of synovial fluid is inversely dependent on the water content. Less water makes it more viscous. This effect is put to work in the joint – pressure on the joint expels water, concentrates the joint solution and thereby lessens the pressure. It may also relieve discomfort. Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide occurring commonly in the skin, eyes, joint fluid and cartilage. Its molecule can be thought of as a long chain, whose properties and effect on the body depend on its length (molecular weight). Long chains of hyaluronic acid, because they are endogenous, do not cause inflammatory reactions, and could be considered anti-inflammatory agents. Research studies have shown that using hyaluronic acid for dogs can be effective in supporting healthy joint function and mobility.

Brad Pattison Pet Wellness Hip & Joint Care soft chews contain DHA and EPA from fish oilBenefits of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids may include: helping to add moisture to dry, itchy or irritated skin, supporting healthy skin, supporting a shiny, healthy-looking, glistening coat & fur, decreasing excess shedding, increasing stamina, reducing joint discomfort, supporting immune health and heart health. Fish oil EPA and DHA may have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Charlie loves them

Pure Charlie hurt his leg & has been limping around. He loves these chews & although it is a little too early to know if they are helping, the ingredients are first rate which gives me confidence that they will help him over the long term.

Great product

I’ve been giving my 150lbs Newfoundland dog your chews for over a month now and have seen great results. He suffers from great stiffness in his front legs. Lately he has been playing more and seems more lively and comfortable. Thank you and I am going to continue to use this product.

My twelve year old pooch has been taking the supplements for a short time so I will wait another few weeks to give a proper assessment.
